One key, then the whole planet

Wanderlight streams Google Street View. That needs your own Maps JavaScript API key — it stays in this browser only (localStorage), and is never sent anywhere but Google.

1. Open Google Cloud → Maps Platform → Credentials
2. Create a project, enable Maps JavaScript API (+ Geocoding API for the search box)
3. Create an API key, then restrict it to this site's address

A Maps key is always visible in any web page's source — that's how Google's own demos work. What keeps it safe is a referrer restriction plus a quota cap, not secrecy.
